Olivia has had an interest in the First World War since her first battlefield trip with college in 2015. From that point she got the ‘bite’. She dragged her Dad over for the centenaries of the Somme and Passchendaele and in 2018 was fortunate enough to become one of CWGC interns. In between this time Olivia finished a History BA and a History MRes looking at how people remember the First World War throughout the centenary.
Olivia met the members of Hawthorn Ridge Crater Association in France in 2018 and loved their values of unearthing a hidden history in the craters. She looks forward to working with the Association to promote the education of Hawthorn Ridge Crater.
